While burning the container becomes very hot. If this con– tinues all the way to the bottom of the jar, it may break. To prevent any safety issues, burn your candles to about 1cm from the bottom and ensure to use a heat resistant surface to place your candles on.

When lighting our candles for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the sides of the glass. Depending on the size, this should take around 3-4 hours. This is important because failure to do so will create a tunnelling effect and limit the performance of the candle.
