Willo-O’-the-Wisp Crackle Candle

New for 2023

The strange phenomenon of wispy lights over Peatlands, Marshes & Bogs (Many in Norfolk).  East Anglian folk named these floating lights Willo-O’-the Wisps. They have often led a weary Traveller to soft treachorous land where they have disappeared forever.  Folklore attach the lights to fairies, ghosts and spirits.

In USA, they call these wisps, Jack O Lanterns, and they have cultivated Halloween with these lights and pumpkins.

Halloween originates from All Hallows Eve, a Pagan festival celebrated on 31st October and All Souls Day on 1st November, where spirits can cross the thin veil between the living & the dead.

Place a lighted carved Pumpkin on your doorstep to ward of Evil Spirits!
