Q&A

Candle Care

Your  order  will  come  with  a  card  explaining  how  to  look  after  your  candle.  These  details  can  also  be  found  here  –  Candle Care

Why choose our candles?

We have chosen quality planet-friendly ingredients to create long  burning,  luxurious  candles  and  melts  for  your  home. Each one is hand poured and has uniqueness.  We also want to promote Norfolk in any way we can.

What wax do you use?

We  use  a  new  hybrid  wax  blended  of  soy,  vegetable,  coconut, beeswax.  not  only  for  its  Eco  friendly  characteristics  but  it also  serves  as  an  air  purifier  and  compliments  our  scents perfectly.  This  hybrid  wax  also  burns  at  a  cooler  temperature meaning an increased burn time.

Are your products vegan?

Not  quite.    This  is  because  we  have  a  small  amount  of  Bees Wax  in  our  wax  blend,  which  is  a  by  product  from  Bees.    Al- though  it  is  harvested  in  a  non  obtrusive  harmless  way,  we can not now claim to be fully vegan.

Can I burn crackle candles candles all the way to the bottom of the container?

While  burning  the  container  becomes  very  hot.  If  this  continues  all  the  way  to  the  bottom  of  the  jar,  it  may  break.  To prevent  any  safety  issues,  burn  your  candles  to  about  1cm from  the  bottom  and  ensure  to  use  a  heat  resistant  surface to place your candles on.

How long should I wait before I can relight my candles? Allow your candle to cool down and the melted wax to solidify before you re-light it. This allows an even burn throughout the life of the candle.

Can I recycle my candle container?

Yep! Perfect  for  a  G&T  tumbler,  or  collect  6  and  return  to us.  We will recycle them and you will be sent a FREE candle.

Do I need to trim my wick?

For  best  results  trim  your  wick  to  about  5mm  before  you  re- light your candle. This will ensure a long lasting candle and minimise soot.

What is the ‘First Burn’?

When  lighting  our  candles  for  the  first  time,  allow  the  wax to  melt  all  the  way  to  the  sides  of  the  glass.  Depending  on the size, this should take around 3-4 hours. This is important because failure to do so will create a tunnelling effect and limit the performance of the candle.

How long can I burn my crackle candle for?

We suggest burning your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time.
